What is the best plant for an outdoor garden?

Can you grow carrots in October?
You should find that your carrot autumn king seeds have grown into harvestable carrots between June and November, should you have sown them in spring. Their roots can be lifted in autumn. Once the weather grows cold, carrots will not continue to grow significantly but they will grow sweeter after a few frosts as the starches convert to sugar so leave them in the ground well into autumn and even early winter. But you should harvest your crop before the ground freezes solid.
