How do I start my troy bilt?
To start the mower, be sure you are seated back in the seat. If you are too far forward, the mower may not start. Engage the parking brake, check to be sure the power take-off (PTO) lever is in the off position and activate the choke. Then turn the key to the start position. If your mower engine is turning over but not starting, the most likely culprit is a fuel-related issue. The carburetor may be clogged, or the fuel may be stale, preventing proper combustion. Another possibility is a faulty spark plug that’s not providing the necessary spark to ignite the fuel.
Why is my troy bilt tiller not starting?

This sticky fuel can clog up the carburetor and prevent the engine from starting. If the carburetor is clogged, try cleaning it with carburetor cleaner. Make sure that the fuel is still fresh. If the rotary tiller has not been used for months, the fuel might have deteriorated and/or clogged some parts of the carburettor, thereby stopping or reducing the supply of petrol/mixture. In this case, empty and clean the tank and carburettor, then add fresh, new fuel.
