Can you grow Pasqueflower from seed?
Pasque flower is propagated by seed, root cuttings, or division. Sow seeds when ripe in situ or in small containers to later transplant when still small. Pasque flower may self-seed. One mature plant can be divided into 4 to 6 new plants. Sowing Pasque Flower Seeds I sow it on the surface of a free draining, soil-based compost. I use 2 parts loam-based compost to 1 part sharp grit. Then cover it with a thin layer of sharp grit. Because they’re wind-dispersed in nature, seeds have a feathery attachment – a bit like the seeds of a dandelion.Pasque Flower is an herbaceous perennial with a mounded form. It brings an extremely fine and delicate texture to the garden composition and should be used to full effect. This is a relatively low maintenance plant, and is best cleaned up in early spring before it resumes active growth for the season.
