Is it bad to leave mud on an ATV?
When you leave mud and dirt on your ATV, it holds moisture to the metal and can result in rust. So, when you are done with a fun trail ride, use a regular garden hose at low pressure, wash and dry your ATV really well to remove all dirt and mud. A high-pressure washer could damage your ATV. Because mud, dirt, and grime trap moisture and can lead to rusting, wash your ATV after every ride. Dirt or dust in the air filter is another concern, potentially causing a clog and decreasing engine performance.
How to get ATV out of mud?
Using a Winch Locate a secure anchor point like a tree, rock, or another vehicle. Attach the winch line to the anchor point. Slowly engage the winch, making sure the line remains taut and evenly pulling the ATV. Continue pulling until the ATV is free from the stuck position. Utilize Traction Mats and Winches Place them under the leading wheels to help gain traction and drive out safely. Alternatively, using winches can exert force to pull ATVs out of challenging spots independently or with another vehicle’s assistance.
