How to make cucumbers climb a trellis?
Training cucumbers to grow on a trellis is easy. Straighten out the vine as it grows and gently wrap or weave it around the trellis. Garden twine can be used if needed. Note: If you notice that your cucumber plant has some tendrils starting to sprout, gently wrap them around the surface of the trellis too! String trellising cucumbers is very easy. Just clip or tie a string around the base of the plant and let it grow up. The cucumber will grab onto the string with tendrils, but it’ll sometimes try to grab nearby strings or plants, so we like to wrap it around the string once a week to keep it totally straight.Cucumbers must be grown in full sun- light. Because their roots reach 36 to 48 inches deep, do not plant them where tree roots will rob them of water and nutrients. Remove rocks, large sticks, and trash before preparing the soil.How tall should a cucumber trellis be?
