How long does it take for Scott’s EZ Seed to work?
New grass is growing well after just 14 days! New grass is growing well after just 2 weeks! I just sprinkled some Miracle Gro Soil, then applied the EZ Seed. Easiest way to grow grass I’ve tried many different products when it comes to growing grass, with varying results. The Scotts EZ Seed is far and away the best one. Consistently produces healthy, thick grass, usually mowable after 2-3 weeks.

When to water Scott’s EZ seed?
When EZ Seed® begins to turn light brown, it’s time to water again. Continue to water daily as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall. Spring and early summer are the best times to plant EZ Seed® because the seed germinates best when daytime temperatures are between 60 degrees F and 80 degrees F.
When to fertilize with Scotts?
Well-timed fertilizer applications not only feed your grass to help it grow thick and lush, but also give weeds less room to grow. Ideally, you should fertilize your lawn with the right Scotts® Turf Builder® lawn food for your grass type 4 times a year: in early spring, late spring, summer, and fall. Timing: Apply early spring lawn fertilizer once between February and April, when your grass is starting to green up and beginning to actively grow (around the time your lawn first needs to be mowed).When to fertilise after mowing. As a rule of thumb, it’s recommended to wait at least two days after mowing before applying fertiliser to your lawn. Can you overseed with Scott’s EZ Seed?
The EZ seed is basically the turf builder with Bermuda grass in it. So you can easily overseed small bare areas by just pouring the mix into the spot. Remove any dead grass and loosen up the soil. Evenly apply EZ Seed® so the area is covered but the ground is still visible. Water deeply, stopping only when the product is saturated and won’t absorb any more. Water again whenever EZ Seed® begins to turn light brown.
