How long does it take for Scotts EZ Seed to grow?
The Scotts EZ Seed is far and away the best one. Consistently produces healthy, thick grass, usually mowable after 2-3 weeks. All you need to do is keep it wet. No need for straw or any additional fertilizer. Great results. Sprouts appeared from around 6 to 10 days. After three weeks, the patched areas are blending in nicely. One extra step I learned is to cover the EZ Seed with a thin layer of topsoil if heavy rain is in the forecast.
Can you apply Scott’s EZ Seed with a spreader?
Scotts EZ Seed Patch and Repair Sun and Shade is intended to be used as a patching product, but we do have a way that it can be applied by a spreader. Set the spreader to the highest setting available. Measure the area you wish to apply EZ Seed to. Answer: You would need a pretty high spreader setting since Scotts EZ Seed Patch and Repair Sun and Shade is use at 20 lbs to treat just 445 square feet. Be sure that you measure the area you are treating to be sure you are using the correct amount of this product.
