What blocks can you put vines on?
Vines can be placed on the side of any block that fills its whole cube and blocks entity movement. They can also be placed on the bottom side of a block (although not the bottom side of another vine). Vines are similar to Mycelium; both spread from block to block. Vines can spread on nearly any block, except Bedrock. If Vines are placed on Cobblestone, the Vines will grow, and after a while also decay. Vines cannot be climbed if they are not adjoining a block; the Player will just walk through.
What can you use to hang fake vines?
This is the most common and straightforward method for hanging fake vines. All you need is a hammer or a thumbtack gun, and some fake plants. Pick a spot on your wall where you want to hang the fake plant, and then use either nails or thumbtacks to secure it in place. For a brick wall, secure the faux vines using brick clips, however, if you’re hanging only a few of them, you can also use hot glue. If the wall is painted or wallpapered, use gaffer tape to hold your fake hanging vines as it won’t leave any residue.
