Who owns Vego Garden?
Vego Garden sprouted when our founder & Chief Product Guy, Robert Xiong, came back to gardening after a childhood spent in his grandparents’ garden. At Vego Garden we know gardeners. We released our very first line of garden beds in July of 2020 and have been helping new gardeners grow their own food from our home base in Houston, TX ever since.
Where is Vego Garden manufactured?
For those that care, the way I understand it, Birdie beds are made in Australia and distributed by Epic Gardening (in the US) whereas Vego are made in China and distributed by them. Is Vego Garden a Chinese company?
Vego Garden is proudly based in the U. S. Houston, Texas. While some of our components are coming from our facilities in China, all of our products are designed with care and tested extensively here. Vego Garden beds are made out of Zinc, Magnesium, and Aluminum coated steel. They’re painted with food grade paint that is designed to withstand high ammonia environments, and provides a superior seal against animal manure and harsh fertilizers.Vego Garden modular metal garden beds, which are made from galvanized steel with an Aluzinc coating, are durable and resistant, with a lifespan of over 20 years. Unlike other metal beds, our beds are 100% nontoxic and made from recycled materials.Vego Garden is a US-based company that specializes in bottomless raised gardens. The Classic, Novel and Woodgrain series are made from zinc, magnesium and aluminum (Aluzinc) coated steel while the Modern series is created out of powder-coated commercial grade galvanized steel.Vego Garden beds are designed to last over 15 years, which lasts 3 – 7 times longer than regular galvanized steel beds, and far longer than treated wood raised beds.

To Robert Xiong, gardening is not only a method of relaxation but a lifestyle and skill that promotes food quality.
