When not to eat passion fruit?
Avoid unripe fruits : unripe passion fruits contain cyanogenic glycosides, which are mildly toxic and sour; choose fully ripe fruits. There is one report of a person developing nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, cardiac rhythm disturbance, and a rapid rate of contraction in the ventricles (ventricular tachycardia), after taking therapeutic doses of passion flower. Overdosage of passion flower may be treated with supportive and symptomatic therapy.Other herbal remedies that may cause issues with passion flower are kava and valerian root.
